Western House Hotel – Ayr

The four star Western House Hotel opened in June, 2005 and ever since then has won award after award underlining its reputation as one of the top hotels in Scotland.

In 2014 the western house Hotel was voted the most Romantic Hotel of the year, and 2015 was voted the No.1 UK Luxury Hotel by laterooms.com

We were given the task of re decorating the honey moon suite then the 39 courtyard rooms.

  • Scheduling and planning works as each room had to have a quick turn around as the hotel is regularly fully booked
  • Low odor quick drying and Hard wearing paints were required
  • Clean and tidy work was essential

Ayr Racecourse – Ayr

Ayr Racecourse is Scotland’s only grade 1 track and is a  Visit Scotland 5 star visitor attraction. The racecourse is also used as an Banqueting and Conference Centre. Seating for up to 1000 delegates at a theatre style conference. Can be converted into a 800 seated suite for banqueting purposes.

The client was looking for a revamp of there cladding and metal work in various locations around the racecourse.

We recommended and used Crown Trade Protective Coatings Fast Drying Cladding Finish which is a high performance coatings system, specially developed for the refurbishment of pre-coated, weathered metal cladding, enabling it to be restored to a pristine condition. Providing up to 8 years protection. This material was applied using our Graco airless spray machines.

Arlington Baths – Glasgow

Paint rite was invited to prepare and submit a tender for renovation works in the Turkish baths at Arlington baths. Glasgow

Prior to compiling our bid, we attended site to meet the client and quantify the works required. Our proposals were then submitted to the client and, following subsequent discussions, accepted.

  • Product selection was key as all materials had to deal with extremely high temperatures
  • Farrow and ball paints were selected and used through out
  • We had to be sympathetic to the Victorian ‘A’ listed building which was build in 1871 during the works
  • We had to work to a tight timescale as the baths only closes once a year for routine maintenance work
